I cannot top-up using a voucher

Step 1: Make sure that you are on a pre-paid tariff plan. Also make sure that you did not use the same voucher before.

Step 2: Call on 125 and follow the prompts to top-up the voucher. If unsuccessful kindly enter the following digits *125*the 14 digits on the voucher #. Now press the dial button on your mobile phone.

Step 3: if the problem persists kindly click here and provide us with your 14 digit voucher number, serial number (also found on the back of the Top Up Voucher) and your Melita Mobile number.

I am in Malta and do not have mobile reception

Step 1: If you are experiencing no reception everywhere make sure that your mobile phone is not on Offline Mode. In order to confirm kindly go to your Profile Settings and select another profile other than Offline or Flight Mode.

Step 2: Make sure that your mobile phone is not on roaming mode. In order to do so go to your Menu and Select Melita or Melita Mobile and make sure that your mobile phone is on Melita Mobile and not on Roaming mode.

Step 3: If you have performed step 1 and step 2 kindly switch off your mobile phone, remove the SIM card and put it back in. Switch on the phone and try again.

“SIM Card Registration Failed” is being displayed on my mobile phone

Step 1: Remove the SIM card from your phone and check whether the SIM is damaged or worn in any way

Step2: Clean the gold contact on the SIM with a soft dry cloth

Step 3: Place the SIM in the phone again ensuring it is positioned correctly

Step 4: Reassemble the phone and switch it on.

I do not have mobile coverage when abroad

Step 1: Kindly make sure that you connect with an international network provider. For a more detailed explanation kindly click here.

Step 2: Make sure that the name of the network that you choose to connect to is displayed on your mobile screen.

Step 3: Try to make a call making sure that the international country code is dialled before the number. If you are trying to call Malta it is important that you dial +356xxxxxxxx.

I can’t send any SMS’s but I can receive

Step 1: If you are on a pre-paid (top ups) account kindly make sure that you have enough credit on your mobile. Dial *121#

Step 2: If you have enough credit or you are on a post-paid service then kindly make sure that you have coverage on your mobile.

Step 3: Make sure that the message centre number is displayed as +35677794022. This setting should be found under Message settings.

Step 4: Try to send an SMS to your own number.

Step 5: If the problem persists switch off the phone and switch it on again. Test an SMS again and if the problem still persists kindly click here.

I can’t receive SMS’s but I can send

Step 1: Make sure that you have enough coverage to receive an SMS. Test this by sending an SMS to your own number.

Step 2: Make sure that your Inbox is not full. Delete any messages in your Inbox to make sure and try sending an SMS to your own number again.

Step 3: If you cannot receive messages from one particular person onlykindly inform him/her to check with his/her service provider.

Step 4: Switch off your mobile phone and switch it on again. Try sending an SMS to yourself and if the problem persists kindly click here.
